18 feet in the air nestled between 2 beautiful cottonwood trees sits our amazing adult treehouse is built with reclaimed repurposed materials. The view captures our spectacular Nebraska sunrises as well as the sunsets while overlooking 5 acres of detailed landscaping. We have a beautiful lower deck for enjoying the perfect Nebraska evenings or morning as well as an upper small deck to enjoy amongst the squirrels and amazing breeze.
The space
Kottage Knechtion is designed to disconnect from the outside world while reconnecting with each other or a solo getaway. We are 6 minutes from old historic 4th street in downtown Sioux City, 5 minutes from the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino. 10 minutes from Ponca State Park and Dorothy Picate Nature Center.
Guest access
Self check-in is available to all guests, although we live on the grounds we are easily accessible if needed and you’ll often see us roaming around.
Guest have access to all the grounds on the acreage, as well as access to a private shower just recently built inside our greenhouse a short distance from the treehouse & adjacent to the Kottage Knechtion.
Other things to note
Guest (2 maximum) will be provided with breakfast of choice at The Koffie Knechtion which offers a variety of Lattes, Cappuccinos, amazing house-brewed coffee, quiches, burrito and homemade steel-cut oatmeal along with fabulous Heavens (muffins) in addition to biscuits n gravy on the weekends. All food is prepared fresh daily in the Koffie shop (Sunday evening guests, breakfast will be available at 8.30 am Monday morning).
We have added a shower for our guests, it’s located in our greenhouse adjacent to our Koffie shop. Towels, shampoo & soap are provided.
